If the original item is no longer available, Studded Bay may opt to replace it with a similar kind or offer a refund equivalent to the original item's selling price. In cases where the damage is not attributed to a manufacturing defect, we will inform you and provide details on the availability of repair services at a cost or other options. If a warranty issue is found, Studded Bay will repair the warrantied damage or replace the item without charge.
All of our jewelry is manufactured using the highest quality materials and is inspected prior to shipment. Our lifetime warranty offers free prong tightening, rhodium plating, re-polishing and cleaning services. The customer only pays for shipping, and Studded Bay pays for return shipping.
It's important to acknowledge that minor irregularities and variations in craftsmanship, natural characteristics, or internal inclusions, whether visible or not, in colored gemstones contribute to the uniqueness of each item. These features are integral to the character of the item and should not be perceived as defects.
Any repair or service conducted by a jeweller other than Studded Bay will nullify the warranty. Normal wear, activities, or trauma can affect all fine jewelry, particularly rings exposed to daily pressure from active hands. Our manufacturing warranty does not cover wear and tear, gemstone loss, product loss, or theft. It also excludes damage or loss resulting from a failure to obtain necessary repairs to maintain the jewelry's integrity.
Common jewelry issues not considered manufacturing defects include:
1. Discoloration of precious metals caused by chemicals, makeup, immersion in pools and hot tubs, or bathing.
2. Prongs catching, wearing out, or bending over time due to regular wear, leading to the potential loss of a stone.
3. Natural wear and tear on precious metals and prongs over time, requiring routine restoration.
4. Stone loss resulting from damage due to everyday wear or other sources of damage.
5. Lost stone or a stone has fallen out due to chipping or breaking caused by normal wear or other damage.
We advise maintaining independent insurance coverage for your jewelry to safeguard against significant damage, loss, or theft.
